PATIENCE

This month the CDGS and the JBBS have been learning about PATIENCE. 

We know that as believers God has plans that he has set for everyone of us. His plans for our lives are always being revealed to us. But we always wonder when it will happen or how it will happen. We wonder why it takes so long for things to fall into play. 

We, as parents, must teach to our children that God's timing is very different from ours, but is always perfect. God will begin to do things in our lives when he knows that we are ready to handle the big job he has set for us. God loves us so much that he is willing to wait on us until we are ready to do his will. We must learn to wait on him with that same love. That's why our scripture for this month is Corinthians 13:4-8a "Love is patient, love is kind..." 

WHAT CAN WE LEARN WHILE WAITING ON GOD?

We take the this time to learn TEMPERENCE, learning self-control. While waiting for God's plans to take action, we must learn how to NOT try to take matters into our on hands. We learn to have self-control, to be patient and faithful to God while waiting on him to do his great work in us. 

"Wait for the Lord, be strong and courageous. Wait on the Lord."
