HAVING A LOVING ATTITUDE
This month the Chocolate Drop Girls and Jawbreaker Boys have been learning about God's love and how we can reflect the kind of love that God sows us every day.
We know that God is a loving father to us all and that he will never leave us. But sometimes we need reminders of how much he loves us. Maybe it is when we fell sad or maybe when we fell alone sometimes. Or maybe you know someone who feels this way but don't know how to help them. What you can do is show them God's love. Tell them all about how God is always with them and loves them even when the feel like no one is there.
God loves us so much that he carefully made us exactly the way he wanted us. He created us to love as he loves!
BUT HOW DO WE SHOW THIS KIND OF LOVE?
1 Corinthians 13:4-5 says:
"Love is patient, love is kind..." Remember these words when you want to encourage someone and help them something they are dealing with.
But also remember, "love does not envy, it is not boastful, it is not arrogant. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,it is not irritable, and does not keep a record of wrongs." Be sure not to be prideful or arrogant when helping others. Show them that you care by listening and trying to understand. Be caring to them.
Parents can help their kids by going over this scripture with them and memorizing it. Have a discussion about different ways we can show Gods love to others and how we should not. Try to apply this to bullying.
God is a loving God and all he wants for his children is to love one another just he does.
